Designing and Implementing Functionality Scales

 

The first task fulfilled by the Study and Research Office was designing the “Strategic Program” with the aid of the principals of the schools. But what could guarantee that the schools would work within that framework? Because of the importance of the issue, studies on supervising and assessing the function of the schools began in 2003.Meanwhile the methodologies of the other successful organizations_ such as some universities and scientific centers of the Ministry of Higher Education, the Evaluation Organization and the Ministry of Education _ were studied. The result was designing some scales to measure the extent of success of all administrations.

This happened in the summer of 2004 when Mofid experts of all fields assisted in the procedures. Data gathering, calculation and assessment of the information began in the fall of 2004.During those years the function of each school was reported to the corresponding principals along with the school council. Then the result was compared with the average of all the schools and with the desirable status. This evaluation has been done for 5 years. The most important achievement of this plan is that the principals can come up with a comprehensive analysis of the function of their schools.

 

Staff Evaluation

 

In the recent years, the management of the Complex together with the principals of the schools considered a serious evaluation of the teachers and all the other staff plus evaluation of the programs. In this regard, then, several polls are carried out:

1. Inquiring about all the staff, especially the teachers from the students

2. Inquiring about the staff, educational methodologies and schools’ facilities from the parents

3. Demanding the teachers and the staff to do self-evaluations along with colleague evaluation

 

 

Evaluating Schools Yearly Curriculum

 

The function of each school in the framework of the programs is assessed at the end of each school year. Since there are differences between the programs of the schools, the assessment scales of each school are designed by the council of the corresponding school. The Office of Studies and Research supports the evaluation system.
